·         The PocketCap™ is a special corrosion protection cap for unbonded tendons that are in  Slab-On-Grade, moderate and highly corrosive environment applications.

 ·         The PocketCap™ is unique in that it attaches to the strand end, not the anchor, thereby providing watertight protection for the strand end and wedge cavity regardless of the particular standard anchor being used.  The PocketCap™  has been tested to PTI standards with the Surelock, U-5 and IC7 anchors.

 ·         The PocketCap™  utilizes a metal snap ring inside of a high density polyethylene plastic cap that actually attaches to the cut strand end and compresses a foam seal against the anchor and wedge set face to create a watertight seal.  The foam seal is made of closed cell, high density polyethylene and is designed with an “X” slit for centering the PocketCap™  on the cut strand end prior to final attachment.

·         The PocketCap™ is applied with a hammer to the cut strand end. 

·          The PocketCap™ works with:

·         All standard anchors for unbonded tendons
·         All encapsulated anchorage systems for unbonded tendons

·         Shear cuts, such as those made with a PocketShear™
·         Abrasive saw cuts
·         Torch cuts
·         Plasma arc cuts 

·         The PocketCap™  is always shipped injected with grease that meets or exceeds PTI standards for unbonded tendons. 

·         The PocketCap™  hydraulically fills the wedge cavity with grease to the back of the wedge set through the space between the wedges attaining a nearly void-free installation.
