The PocketCap was developed as a result of the clean, well-defined length
of the cut tendon tail resulting from the use of thePocketShear.

Any standard U5 type monostrand anchor works with the PocketCap. No special anchors are neccessary. PocketCaps for 1/2" strand available. 6" by 2001 Standard U5 type pocketformers work well
The Anchor

Standard anchors can be used
as the
PocketCap attaches to the strand end,
not to a special anchor.

& Strand

PocketCap is available for 1/2" strand. The .6" version
will be available in 2008

& Pocketformer

The PocketCap is furnished in two lengths that fit
the anchor you currently use.

Wedges should fit relatively flush with the anchor face Elongation approvals are required prior to cutting tendon tail The PocketShear leaves a clean end that is a specific length from the wedge cavity
& Wedges

Wedges are not an issue for
the PocketCap
Normal stressing and seating operations should take place.

& Seated Wedges

In order for the
PocketCap   to create
a good seal, the wedges when fully seated, should be flush,
or lower than the anchor.

& Cut Tendon Tail

No tendon tails should be cut prior to elongation approvals.
Use the  PocketCap   immediately after cutting.

The PocketCap attaches to the strand end with a metal snap ring and has a foam seal A tap with a tool on the end of the cap attaches it securely Watertight encapsulation of the wedge cavity and tendon tail
& PocketCap

The PocketCap utilizes
a metal "snap ring" for
attachment to the strand end
and a foam seal for
watertight encapsulation.

& PocketCap

The seal is a closed cell,
HDPE foam that compresses between the cap and the
anchor face causing
a watertight seal.
